The fasttracked Denver Public Schools Stage Rigging and Curtains project involved renovations and upgrades to the auditoriums at five Denver High Schools: South, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. All of the work was performed concurrently and was completed in a two-month period over the summer break. Scopes of work included theatrical rigging and lighting upgrades, audio/visual equipment, drywall, plaster, flooring, millwork, acoustical wall panels, handrails/guardrails, and concrete.
The schedule on this project was driven by the procurement of the new stage rigging equipment. The PCL team proactively managed the procurement of this equipment and was able to obtain an early release of equipment and an expedited manufacturing process. As a result of these efforts, all five schools were successfully completed five days prior to the scheduled turnover.
