BOISE, Idaho (Sept 17, 2025) – PCL Construction, Inc. has been awarded the Boise Recycled Water Program Improvements project. This is the first recycled water project in Idaho for PCL’s Civil Infrastructure Division.

The project will include a new facility to recycle water from industries across Southeast Boise to support the city’s expanding population and industrial demands. Notably, the facility will add millions of gallons of water per day to the city’s water system, solidifying Boise as a sustainable, dynamic and economically vibrant city.

“We are excited to partner with the City of Boise on this project, even more so since it creates so much value for their community members by protecting water quality and adding 6 million gallons to the water renewal system,” said PCL Civil Infrastructure West Region District Manager Ankur Talwar.

This forward-looking initiative will recycle water through groundwater recharge and industrial reuse. In Boise, purified water will be safely returned to groundwater for future use or distributed directly to industrial users to preserve local drinking water. By recycling water, Boise aims to be better prepared for future challenges like growth, drought and climate change.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with startup expected in 2031.
