During his 25-year tenure with PCL, Michael Kehoe has established himself as a dedicated leader in the construction industry and a passionate advocate for the community in which he lives and works. Kehoe joined PCL in 2000 and has served as vice president of finance, overseeing accounting, finance and tax operations in the U.S. since 2001. Additionally, Kehoe is a member of PCL’s main operating board and investment committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from CU Boulder, and is a certified CPA.
Kehoe has an outstanding record of professional accomplishments. He received the Denver Business Journal’s Top Financial Executive award in 2018. He is also a founding member of the FMI CFO Forum for the largest U.S. general contractors and previously served on the board of the Denver chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). Kehoe remains an active member of CFMA.
Equal to his commitment to upholding excellence in the accounting and finance community, Kehoe’s career has also been marked by his dedication to charitable organizations and community support. In January 2025, he was appointed Board Chair of Colorado Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC), where he will serve a two-year term. EPIC is a coalition of business leaders advocating for family-friendly workplaces and policies to ensure children receive quality childcare and education, while enabling parents to thrive. Kehoe has been actively involved with EPIC since 2015.
Additionally, Kehoe served on the Mile High United Way Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2019. From 2019 to 2021, he co-chaired Mile High United Way’s Alexis De Tocqueville Society, a group of philanthropic leaders and volunteer champions supporting United Way’s initiatives. He continues to be an active member of this society.
Kehoe is also the former Board Chair of Florence Crittenton Services of Colorado, where he played a pivotal role in leading their campus redevelopment program. In 2019, Kehoe was honored with the Dr. Kate Waller Barrett Advocate Award from Florence Crittenton Services. This award is given annually to a community member who embodies the spirit of empowerment and sponsorship of young mothers and their children. Florence Crittenton Services is a Denver nonprofit with a mission to educate, prepare and empower teen mothers and their children to become productive members of the community.
When asked about his long tenure at PCL, Kehoe responded, “I think the employee ownership model has created a very strong culture at PCL. This model helps to create employee-owners who care about what they do – they’re passionate and they’re vested in doing a good job. The number of people who have been with the company for 25 years or longer is an indication of the long-standing commitment that employees have to the company, myself included.”
