Edmonton, Alberta (July 26, 2021) – PCL Construction congratulates Sean Barnes on his appointment as vice president, Special Projects, following recent succession transitions across PCL. He reports to Chris Gower, chief operating officer, buildings. We recognize Sean’s excellent leadership as vice president and district manager of our Winnipeg District from 2008 to 2019 and wish him the best in his new role.
Sean will remain in Winnipeg for his new role with the Special Projects division, which offers a unique small-contractor service that supports clients in the buildings, civil and industrial sectors across North America. Sean will focus on expanding PCL’s competitive Special Projects offering in existing markets and in new territories.
“Special Projects has been an integral part of PCL since it was established in 1920, known then as “Jobbing,” said Chris Gower, COO, Buildings. “Today, leveraging innovation and lean technologies, the Special Projects division offers clients the strength of PCL’s brand and resources, right-sized for efficient and cost-effective delivery of their smaller projects. Sean has been instrumental in the success of our Special Projects division and he’ll continue to provide strong leadership into the future.”
