With extensive experience in markets like aviation, municipal works and high-rise condominiums, PCL Construction works magic in the Emerald City — not the one in the Land of Oz, though.

PCL has been building in Seattle since 1992 and has completed more than $7 billion worth of work throughout the Pacific Northwest, including railway and transit projects, events centers and numerous residential towers that shape the city’s skyline.

PCL has also donated time and money to nonprofits and community organizations in the area, such as the United Way of King County, ANEW, L.O.V.E.T.O. and Food Lifeline. PCL Seattle isn’t just building structures — it’s building community. After all, there’s no place like home.

Here are a few examples of how PCL Construction builds the Emerald City.

Waiting for your departure in the Emerald City is better than ever thanks to PCL Construction. Our team has completed more than a dozen lounge projects at Seattle Tacoma International airport. With comfortability top of mind, PCL has transformed the Alaska Airlines Concourse C Lounge into a refreshing retreat with updated restrooms, a commercial kitchen, high-end finishes and sprawling ceilings while offering breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains. In the American Express Centurion Lounge, PCL added a commercial kitchen to offer travelers an elevated culinary experience and barista-run coffee bar.

Sounds a lot more comfortable than travelling by broomstick, doesn’t it? With each airport escape, PCL and its aviation partners are building a better future, together.

While it might not shimmer in green, the PCL-built high-rise condominium Spire stands tall as a 41-story icon in Seattle’s skyline, setting a new bar for luxury living in the Emerald City. Each of the 342 units is crafted for comfort and style, with high ceilings, oak hardwood floors, spacious closets, and sleek quartz kitchen countertops. Plus, the fully automated underground parking system brings your car to you with just a touch — no magic required!

Defying gravity isn’t just for witches — it’s for sustainability too. The Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station in Bellevue, Washington is a truly wicked creation by PCL. This enchanting facility captures rainwater from its roof to conjure up over one million gallons of savings in domestic water annually, while 50,000 native plants surround the site like an emerald forest. And like a spell well-cast, the project team performed the ultimate feat of magic: building a state-of-the-art facility while the existing one hummed along seven days a week. Now that’s a wonderfully green twist on defying the odds!
