DENVER, Colo. (Oct. 6, 2023) – bp (NYSE: BP) and PCL Construction, the main engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the project, have started construction on the 187MWdc Peacock Solar project, located 10 miles north of Corpus Christi in San Patricio County, Texas.

PCL’s scope includes but is not limited to engineering design of facility, piles and trackers, surveying, civil work, fencing, foundations, module and inverter installation, electrical work and substation construction.

This project will help support the global transition to lower carbon energy and could avoid more than 256,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year once at full capacity.
