LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2025) – In response to the devastating wildfires that recently swept through parts of Southern California, PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc. has donated $75,000 to United Way of Greater Los Angeles and $25,000 Pasadena Community Foundation to support relief efforts for those impacted. The funds will help provide shelter, resources and long-term recovery support for those affected by the fires, which have displaced thousands of residents and disrupted essential services, leaving many in urgent need of support.

“With deep roots in Southern California, we recognize the immense challenges these wildfires have created for families, businesses and first responders,” said Mike Headrick, senior vice president and district manager for PCL Construction. “Our donation reflects PCL’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work, helping those impacted access the critical resources they need.”

PCL has a strong presence in California, with an office in Glendale and many employees living and working throughout Los Angeles County. As the fires spread, PCL quickly mobilized to provide immediate assistance, including distributing essential supplies such as generators and masks to affected employees and communities.

In January, PCL’s Los Angeles office partnered with the Flintridge Center to host a local food drive, collecting and sorting non-perishable items at its Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego offices.

“The strength of PCL lies in our people and our collective ability to step up in times of crisis,” said Headrick. “We encourage our industry partners, clients and the community to join us in supporting those in need, whether through donations, volunteering or simply checking in on those affected.”

In 2023, PCL renewed its annual donation to the American Red Cross so the nonprofit organization can proactively prepare for crisis situations—including ordering supplies at a lower cost, training their response teams and investing in infrastructure —before a disaster strikes.
