DENVER, Colo. (May 25, 2023) – PCL Construction has once again been recognized as one of the top-ranking general contractors in the U.S. by construction billings, according to Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) annual Top 400 Contractor list.

Overall, new contracts for Top 400 firms went up 30.9% from last year, totaling $557.1 billion USD. Amidst the prevailing uncertainty surrounding a potential economic downturn, the latest ranking highlights PCL’s versatility across a wide range of market sectors, including buildings, civil and industrial. This achievement signifies the company's ongoing efforts to adapt and thrive in a dynamic business landscape, achieving record-breaking numbers in new work across several of PCL’s local offices.

According to Deron Brown, president and chief operating officer for PCL’s U.S. operations, the past year has provided tremendous opportunity for the company, while still presenting challenges as it pertains to supply chain, inflation, and labor shortages.

“As we continue to see growth as a company, we’re having to meet the demands and challenges of the market and remain flexible. We pride ourselves in adaptability and having access to the right resources to meet our clients’ needs,” Brown says.
