The 18-story 65 King Street East office and retail tower is located in the vibrant King East neighborhood where the historic and the modern intersect. This complex project integrates 400,000 square feet of next-generation workspace with four stories of heritage facades that had to remain in place throughout construction.

Further complicating the program was the fact that the demolition behind the façade exposed a shared party wall with the historic Albany Club. Embracing innovation in the face of complexity, and drawing upon our in-house structural design experts, we developed a unique external bracing system, safely and successfully negotiating the challenges of this busy urban site.

Once complete, 65 King Street East will stand as a stunning example of constructing for the future while honoring the past.
