For over 100 years, Kapiolani has provided unprecedented medical care to Hawaii’s women and children to create a healthier Hawaii. The buildout of the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children Emergency Department, located in the new wing of the medical center, includes a registration area with separate pediatric and adult waiting rooms, a secured emergency entrance, 19 new exam rooms, two trauma rooms, three isolation rooms, two triage rooms, an X-ray room, employee locker room and lounge, along with offices and a conference room. The vital rebuild now accommodates new family-focused care while providing the highest level of comfort with the latest medical technology that Hawaii’s families deserve.
