The Department of National Defence’s three-story Maritime Helicopter Training Centre stores helicopters and houses all facilities necessary for training requirements, including two flight simulators, two mission simulators and three full-size aircraft trainers. 

With more than $300 million worth of equipment in the training facility, long-term protection of assets was a top priority. We incorporated HI-FOG, an innovative water mist fire suppression system which uses water mist to remove heat from material on fire. 

Now complete, the facility will train helicopter aircrews to be ready to take on the challenges of defending Canada at home and abroad.
