The team on the Mystic Lake Center and Promenade Hotel Tower rose to the challenge and surpassed the project’s original opening date. The 281,000-square-foot convention center was projected to finish construction in the summer of 2018, but instead opened in time for 2017’s New Year’s Eve and the 2018 Super Bowl.  

The team’s dedication and hard work is evident by the project’s accelerated timeline, and also the outstanding responses and bookings that far exceeded the hotel’s original projections. Our partnership with the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community has spanned more than 25 years and we are honored to be a part of their story of building community in the region.  

An important element of the Mystic Lake Center and Promenade Hotel Tower was the incorporation of Minnesota’s natural landscape. Through specialized materials, finishes and glazed glass, we were able to bring the landscape’s beauty inside.

The electrochromic glazing system, SageGlass, provides unobstructed views, reduces heating and cooling loads and provides shade and tint settings for optimal guest comfort.
