The South LRT extension involves multiple projects over a three-year period, including the construction of a transit system within an active road right-of-way and an LRT maintenance storage facility. The extension of the D.L. MacDonald maintenance facility renovates the existing facility and constructs a new right-of-way and blow down buildings that are also used for maintenance and administration offices. 

We helped the City of Edmonton lower costs through value engineering solutions, which helped accelerate the schedule by three months. The multiple projects over the three-year period exemplify PCL’s strong relationship and collaborative approach with the City of Edmonton to ensure their transit system gives riders and the operations the highest quality transportation system.
