The Universal Orlando Parking Complex, housing over 19,000 cars, is one of the largest parking complexes in the United States. The precast beam and girder structure with poured-in-place decks was built in two phases, connected by a central, elevated hub where visitors gather before heading to the theme parks.

Phase I of the project included a five-level north parking garage and a circular hub as the planned tie-in to Phase II. The circular hub structure is a 1,800 cubic yard, post-tensioned elevated beam and slab structure that was placed continuously in one ten-hour pour. Phase I also included attached people-movers – structural steel enclosures to house escalators, elevators and power walks to transport visitors to the theme parks.

Phase II construction consisted of a six-level, south parking garage that connects to Phase I through the elevated circular hub, which serves as a functional focal point.

This colossal two-phase project not only offers extensive parking space but also seamlessly integrates with the needs of visitors to the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks.
