At the site of PCL’s Woolooga solar project in Gympie, Queensland — approximately 215 kilometres north of the city of Brisbane — there is excitement and energy in the air. When completed, the project will have a massive output of 214 megawatts, rivaling some of the biggest solar projects we’ve built in North America.
Our contract includes design, procurement and construction for this entire renewable energy construction project using a single-axis racking, ground-mounted photovoltaic system. It includes all substation and balance of plant design, installation, commissioning and testing, as well as the two-year operation and maintenance warranty period in partnership with Canadian Solar.
The Woolooga Solar Project includes:
- 46 power conversion units
- 828 combiner boxes
- 57,573 piles
- 398,748 modules
