The Yakima Warehouse and Logistics Facility project transformed a former produce storage facility into a logistics hub facilitating deliveries throughout Central Washington. As part of a larger initiative, this project was one of four similar facilities constructed across three states for the same client, all within a tight timeframe. Each facility's construction began within a month of the others and was completed in December 2024.

The Yakima facility underwent significant retrofitting to accommodate the sorting and delivery equipment, including the addition of a new loading dock to the existing structure. To optimize the project for both budget and schedule, the team chose to self-perform much of the work, maintaining control over quality while ensuring adherence to timelines and cost constraints.

A major challenge on the Yakima Logistics Hub project was securing electrical switchgear equipment, which faced long international lead times. Initially quoted at a one-year lead time, the team leveraged strong relationships with suppliers and worked diligently to reduce it to six months. To keep the project on track, the team prepared the site in advance by completing all necessary utility work, ensuring the equipment could be immediately installed and activated upon arrival. This proactive approach allowed the project to overcome significant supply chain hurdles and remain on schedule, meeting the client’s tight deadlines.
