Just ask Trisha Faleafine, Administrative Supervisor, who has built a career in supporting and helping others. Her passion for organization and creating clear processes is evident not only in her work, but in her ability to find efficiencies to improve collaboration. Supporting and mentoring others on their path to success is at the heart of who she is.
Trisha joined Nordic PCL in 2008 as a “temp” to assist in closing the Keola Lai project. It was her first introduction to construction, but not her last. She formally joined NPCL in 2010 as the SPD administrative assistant and was promoted to administrative supervisor in 2016. While construction was in her future, Trisha actually spent her formative years working with children. Her first job at Kama`aina Kids aligned with her love for mentoring. Her work later as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), then as a pharmacy tech continued to nurture her passion to help others. That compassion continues in her role today as she annually leads the SPD team in their community efforts. Each year, SPD gives back by volunteering their time to worthy causes like the recent Ka Papa Lo`i`o Punalu`u Day. Her ability to lift others is the greatest exercise of the heart.
Ultimately, Trisha draws strength from her family. As the eldest daughter of two, Trisha's father was in construction, and her mother is the director of housekeeping at the Sheraton Honolulu. Her husband, Chris, shares her love for construction as a heavy machine operator for Moss Construction. The family, including her 15 year-old daughter Kyla, are fanatics for Disney. It is not the rides, cartoons, or movies that draw their interest – it is the history. Spending their time together as a family exploring and learning about the Disney Legacy speaks to Trisha's compassion. Walt Disney's ability to imagine a better world is no different then Trisha's ability to create a better workplace.
Mahalo nui loa, Trisha, for all that you do!
